Microfibre Cloths

1.

What are Microfibre cloths?

A fibre is considered to be microfibre when it weighs less than 1 gram per 10 kilometres of length In layman's terms – microfibre is finer than 1/100 th of a human hair. As such, it has special physical characteristics that are responsible for its remarkable cleaning qualities.

2.

What makes it clean so well?

A microfiber cloth has more than 40 times the surface area of normal fiber cloths. Thus there is a greater electrical charge to attract dirt. When damp, micro fibers get into tiny places to whisk away dirt. The increased surface area means the cloth can absorb about 7 times its weight in liquid. Millions of contact points ensure that dirt and bacteria are trapped and removed, not spread around the area.

3.

How do I use it?

When the dirt is dry and dusting is needed, you can use the microfibre cloth dry because it removes dirt by static electricity. When the cloth is used damp, it works by absorption power (capillary action). You can use the microfibre cloth to clean up spills from hard wood floors and above floor surface.

4.

How do I care for microfibre cloths?

Never use bleach, fabric softener, or softener sheets. Machine wash or hand wash with detergent using high water temperature. Line or machine dry warm. Avoid washing or drying with towels or other lint producing fabrics.
